[Jillian] “I was back in Grenada, it was already Friday night and I was in my dressing room preparing to meet Danielle Coulthard of Australia to determine which one of us would take home the 3rd place money. I was wearing a skimpy yellow thong bikini and white 8 oz. gloves as I warmed up with my trainer. The knock on the door startled me. It was time to go to the ring. The evening was about 65 degrees with a light mist in the air as we took the golf cart ride to the outdoor ring. I wanted to keep my robe on as I was getting damp but the officials insisted that I enter the ring in my bikini. Danielle wasn’t in the ring yet and I danced in my corner with a towel draped around my shoulders to keep warm. The onshore ocean breeze was cool and damp with a taste of salt. My nipples were usually stiff but tonight they appeared like a couple of thumbs pushing against the thin silk fabric of my bikini top. I was thankful that Coulthard didn’t keep me waiting long. She wore an identical bikini to mine but in black”
[Announcer 1] “Ladies and gentlemen, I want to welcome you to the battle for the 3rd place money of $10,000. USD. The combatants are from the USA, Jillian Russell and from Australia, Danielle Coulthard. The ladies are wearing bikinis which are a little briefer this time which will open up a larger target area and as in the last round of fights, 8 oz gloves. These ladies have not met before and I know that Coulthard is out to prove that she deserves to be in the finals. Now down to my friend in the ring for the introductions”
[Announcer 2] “In the corner to my left, she stands 173cm (5’8”) tall and weighed in at 63kg (139lbs.) with vital stats of 93d-73-91(37d-29-36) in the yellow bikini from the USA, Jillian Russell, Russell.” [Applause] “In the corner to my right from Australia, she is 178cm (5’10”) tall and weighed in at 64kg (140lbs.) with stats of 86b-71-79 (34b-28-31), Danielle Coulthard, Coulthard. [Applause] “The referee is giving the ladies final instructions and I hear him tell both ladies to keep their punches legal. Coulthard was disqualified in her last fight after committing three fouls. This has to be a concern to Ms. Russell. The ladies go back to their corners and there’s the bell”
[Announcer 1] “The ladies square off in mid-ring and its Russell with a double jab into Coulthard's face. The Aussie backs away to regroup then moves in, blocks a Russell left and drives a stiff right into the American’s left breast. The ladies jab back and forth and Coulthard goes low with a left hook to the top of Russell’s bikini. The American emits an audible groan as she is shaken by the punch and hangs on to Coulthard to prevent further action. The referee gets between the ladies forcing them apart and calls for them to box. Russell dances off the pain of the last punch and moves to meet the Aussie. Russell ducks a right and jabs Coulthard in the face followed by a right uppercut to Coulthard’s left breast. The ladies trade a few punches that are mostly blocked. Coulthard with a harsh uppercut to Russell’s left breast. Wow, Russell’s breast barely remained inside her bikini top. Russell squeals out as she wraps her arms around the Aussie to buy some time. The referee forces the ladies apart and instructs Russell not to hold. The ladies come together and Russell gets around Coulthard's defense with a right to her ribs. The Aussie comes back with a stiff jab to Russell’s belly button followed by a right to the American’s face. The ladies trade punches along the ropes as Russell forces Coulthard to the corner. A sharp uppercut from Russell rocks Coulthard. The Aussie’s head falls forward between Russell’s breasts and she hangs on with Russell pounding away at her ribs. The referee separates them with Coulthard stumbling a bit. Russell moves in quickly on the dazed Aussie with a brutal combination to her head. We have the 10 second warning. Coulthard retaliates as she unloads a left and a right into Russell’s face. The American clinches and the bell sounds before the referee can separate the ladies.”
[Announcer 2] “That was an exciting first round. These ladies are very evenly matched. Let’s have a look in each corner. Russell’s left eye is being worked on with the no swell tool and there is a slight darkening under her eye. Her second is holding an ice pack on her left breast. In Coulthard’s corner they are also working on Danielle’s left eye with an ice bag. Neither lady is showing any real damage as we go to round 2. It’s all yours Jim.”
[Announcer 1] “Both ladies move out briskly to the middle of the ring. Russell rips into Coulthard with both fists to the mid section. Coulthard covers up to protect herself and Russell drives a right into Coulthard's mouth. The Aussie rips a right hook into Russell's ribs and Russell rocks Coulthard with a jab to her left cheek followed by a right that slams into Coulthard's nose. The Aussie is hurt and trying to hold on. The referee has to break the ladies apart. Coulthard works a left into Russell's ribs and a quick right into Russell's left breast. The American winces as her hands drop to protect her large breasts. Coulthard takes advantage of the opening with a right and a left to Russell’s face. The American seems confused as Coulthard hammers Russell with a vicious left-right combination to her breasts. Russell staggers away from Coulthard leaving herself open and the Aussie drops the American with a round house right to the side of her head. Russell is hurt but gamely struggling on to all fours as the referee barks out “4” and pulls herself up using the ropes as the referee counts 8. The referee cleans her gloves and she nods that she will continue but she is certainly wobbly. The referee steps back and calls for the ladies to box. Russell’s gloves are up but she looks dazed as Coulthard pokes her with a left hook to body. The Aussie drives a harsh left to the top of Russell’s bikini. The redhead gasps as she pitches forward and takes a right uppercut that snaps her head back. Russell topples backward bouncing off the ropes and onto the canvas. The redhead is on her side, eyes glazed and a little blood at the corner of her mouth. The count is 5 as she gets on all 4’s and staggers to her feet by 7. The referee is talking to her as he cleans her gloves. The fight will continue with 20 seconds left in the round. Russell is alert enough to be backing away but Coulthard traps her in the corner. Russell protects her chin and body with her gloves high and her elbows tucked in as the Aussie blasts away at the American in an attempt to force her guard down. Russell’s breasts take some bruising but she survives the round.”
[Announcer 2] “Russell is still wobbly as she makes it to her corner. She, of course, lost the round but I don’t think that matters. I can’t see this fight going to a decision. Can she recover from the two knock downs. Russell’s second works the ice bag on the back of her neck while her trainer works the no swell tool on her swollen left eye. There is a distinct mouse under Russell’s left eye. If the eye swells shut, it will be curtains for Russell. Meanwhile in the other corner, a relaxed looking Coulthard is sponged off and worked on with the ice bag and looks ready for round 3.”
[Announcer 1] “Russell walks out briskly to meet Coulthard for round 3. The American appears recovered. Coulthard pursues Russell who circles away. Coulthard fires a low left hook into Russell’s bikini. Russell doubles over, wincing in pain as she clutches her womanhood with her left glove. The referee steps between the ladies as he instructs Coulthard to keep her punches up. The referee doesn’t allow Russell any time to recover as he calls for the ladies to box. Russell catches Coulthard with a right hook to her left breast. The Aussie groans out loud as the American follows up with a right hook to her midriff and a fierce uppercut that catches Coulthard off balance. The Aussie is wobbled and Russell hammers Coulthard’s nose with a devastating right hook. Coulthard is bleeding from her nose but the tough Aussie comes back staggering the American with a right uppercut. Russell backs off to regroup before staggering the Aussie with a right. These ladies are pounding each other in the center of the ring. How long can this last? Coulthard drops her head onto Russell’s chest and hangs on to halt the action. The referee pulls the ladies apart. Russell is now stalking the Aussie and bombards her with a fierce one-two combination to her head. Coulthard takes an uppercut to her right breast. The Aussie grimaces as her gloves drop to protect breasts. Russell uncorks a right to Coulthard’s chin snapping the Aussie’s head back. Guests near the ring are sprayed with blood and sweat as Coulthard bounces off the ropes going face down on the canvas. Coulthard is struggling onto her hands and knees as the referee counts out 5 and is able to get on her feet with the help of the ropes by 8. The Aussie is teetering as the referee cleans her gloves and asks if she’s ok. Coulthard nods a yes. The referee calls for the ladies to box. Russell charges in to finish the Aussie off but is decked with a short right and falls through the ropes onto a ringside table. A half conscious but very dazed Russell crawls back into the ring just in time to beat the count. Both ladies are weary and dazed as they flail away at each other for the final 20 seconds of the round.”
[Announcer 2] “Both ladies are hurt, dazed and splattered with blood but neither wants to give in. Coulthard’s nose is bruised, swollen and possible broken, around her left eye is swollen with a mouse underneath. Russell’s left eye is badly swollen, in fact almost shut with a very puffy eyebrow and district mouse below it. The inside of Russell’s mouth is bleeding and she has some nasty rope marks on the back of her right shoulder. Both ladies have been knocked down. Both corners are working feverishly on their fighter as the warning buzzer sounds for round 4.”
[Announcer 1] “Again both ladies walk out briskly as they square off near the center of the ring. Coulthard goes to Russell's breasts with a left and a right. The American always emits this audible squeal after her breasts are hurt by a punch but she comes back with a jab into the Aussie battered nose followed by a right hook to Coulthard’s breast. Blood is again flowing from the Aussie’s nose but she still lands a huge left hook to Russell's jaw. The American’s head snaps back, spraying perspiration into the crowd as her knees buckle. Russell tries to hang on but Coulthard takes a short step back and ruthlessly hammers the American with three unanswered punches. Russell’s been cut, yes Russell now has a cut above her left eye and is all but defenseless as Coulthard rips a left well down into the American’s bikini but misses with a roundhouse right that would have put Russell out for a week. Russell is on her knees in agony after the low blow but the referee is counting and not acknowledging that the punch was a foul. The question is, can the redhead continue? Russell’s boyfriend, Ken, has his face in his hands, a position he assumes when his girl is being hurt. Russell wisely takes the full 8 count before standing and is saying something to the referee who is shaking his head, “no”. Russell is ready to continue but the blood from her left eyebrow is definitely obscuring her vision. Coulthard backs Russell to the corner and lands a right into the American’s breasts before Russell hangs on. The ladies tussle along the ropes before falling to the mat locked together. We have a time out while the referee gets the ladies on their feet. The wet bikinis are giving the crowd an excellent view of both ladies anatomy. The referee indicates time in and restarts the fight. Russell lands a brutal right to the top of Coulthard’s bikini. This one caught the Aussie by surprise as she spews her mouthpiece into the crowd. The winded Aussie attempts to clinch but Russell steps back and uncorks a combination to Coulthard’s head. The Aussie goes to her knees gasping for breath as the 10 second warning sounds. Coulthard is up on the count of 8 but the bell ends round 4 before further action can continue.
[Announcer 2] “Both ladies are showing the signs of a brutal battle. Coulthard’s nose is a mess, bruised, swollen, bleeding and possibly broken. The doctor is checking her nose at this time. The Aussie’s left eye is really puffy with a large mouse below the eye. Russell now has a nasty inch long gash along her left eyebrow with the eye all but swollen shut and a huge mouse below her eye. Her right eye is also swollen with a mouse below it. Russell is also spitting blood from an early cut inside her mouth. There have been some just brutal body punches so both ladies must have bruised breasts and ribs.” The doctor is also checking the cut on Russell’s eye.”
[Announcer 1] “We are set for round 5 as both ladies walk briskly from their corners. A quick firm jab by Coulthard that lands below Russell’s belly button catches the American off guard and the Aussie misses with her follow up punch. Russell drops to her knees coughing and gagging as her mouthpiece falls to the canvas. She struggles to her feet just before the count of eight and we have a time out so Russell’s corner can replace her mouthpiece. The referee calls for the ladies to box. The ladies engage in a heated exchange of punches that causes blood to flow again. Russell’s eyebrow is now bleeding again as is Coulthard’s nose. Coulthard attempts to back Russell to the corner with a flurry of body shots but the American stands her ground, nailing Coulthard with a brutal right to her nose. The Aussie is hurt. Coulthard’s gloves go high to protect her nose as Russell drives a left low into the Aussie’s bikini. The referee almost tackles Russell pulling her away from the incapacitated Coulthard. “The fight is over”. “The fight is over”. Russell has broken Coulthard’s nose and the Aussie is in agony as she is attended to by her trainer, second and ring doctor. A euphoric Russell hugs her trainer and second before sitting in her corner to have her battle wounds attended to.”
[Announcer 2] “That was some fight. Coulthard is being assisted from the ring to receive medical attention. Russell requires medical attention but will accept the cheque for 3rd place before leaving the ring. I’m sure that her adrenaline level is high enough that she isn’t feeling much pain yet.”
[Jillian] “I had won but I was really battered up, enough so that Ken looked worried. The pain was getting to me and I needed help to leave the ring. How much pain is worth $10,000? My trainer and second get me to my dressing room and stretched me out on the table and virtually packed me in ice. They gave me some pain killers but they didn’t seem to be helping. I waited for the doctor for what seemed to be hours. He put me out before suturing my eyebrow and the next thing I remember is waking up the next morning in my cottage with Ken holding me. I spent the day in bed and on pain killers but was determined to attend the final fight between Zabrzova and Tavares”
