    Just remember that when online, especialy in IRC, you cannot judge very well the mood in which someone said something to you due to the lack of body language, tonality and inflection in their voice. Hence you will see a lot of LOL, HEHEHE and =) when ppl are chatting.

    There is no polite way of saying this but if you are the type of person who gets easily offended or flies off the handle at the drop of the pin, be forwarned that the IRC can be a wild place for the uninitiated (even some ppl who have been regulars for years tend to forget to leave their sensitive moods at the cyber door. =)
