So you wanted to go somewhere on the Seaking's Femfight but ended up with an error page or see the dreaded Red X Squares and can't figure out why?

One of three things brings you to these error pages: As you went to check out the free pics and vid clips, you tried to connect to a page that doesn't exist, or your firewall settings are too high, or you tried to access the directory without going through the site first.

Most likely what happened is that you have a firewall program running on your computer which prevent a security cookie from being loaded onto your computer. All this cookie does is authorize you to view the various pages and images on this site. It declares you as a visitor from this site to view the other pages on this site.

Why bother with this cookie thing now? As you know you do not pay to access this site, I offer it to you freely, it is my hobby and I like to share. However, I do have to pay the fees associated with having this site hosted. Fees are for web hosting and net traffic. The amount of files being seen on this site contribute to the net traffic count. As long as you are a visitor of this site, you are free to peruse all the pages and images. I offer this to you freely.

However, some people who run web sites or yahoo groups think that everything on the internet is free and should be free as long as it's not theirs being taken. What they do is create a link on their site linking directly to pictures or files on other sites, either making it look like it's their own or not. But the bottom line is that it's the site that is holding those pictures, video clips and files that end up paying for that net traffic usage, when there is no benefit to them whatsoever.

This is called bandwidth theft. Some sites do it knowingly, other don't realize the problems it causes or that it even causes problems. But the bottom line is that it costs the web site owner money.

Because of this prevalent increase in bandwidth theft, I had to protect the site against direct linking. As soon as I installed this protection, 4 web sites and 6 yahoo groups that I know of ceased to have access to material and they basically had to go elsewhere for their 'stuff'. Pretty bad I would say.

Some of these site owners were prosecuted by the server managers and held accountable for that theft. A couple of years back I was billed an extraordinarily large server fee for that theft of my bandwidth. It is a real problem.

Ok enough with the mumbo jumbo, how do *I* get access to the pics?!

Very simple really. The most common problem is that it's your firewall that prevents you from receiving that cookie so you have to do one of two things; lower your firewall protection level or permit this web site 'special status' while still maintaining your high firewall protection level. I commend you for having the smarts to protect yourself with a firewall and hopefully with virus protection, you can understand why I have had to protect the site contents as well.

In some instances, especially with AOL subscribers, your Internet Service Provider is causing the problem. After logging in with your ISP (AOL, COX, Compuserve, Yahoo, Earthlink, msn, etc.), click on the "Big blue E" on your desktop, or click on Start, go to Programs, and look for Internet Explorer. Once this new window opens, type in www.seakingsfemfight.com , and enjoy!

I wish I didn't have to go this route but I'm in it for the fun, not the poor house. I hope you will understand and support this position.
